Long-Sharp Gallery Presents artists inspired by Chicago at SOFA Chicago 2017

Chicago inspires. Sarah Bernhardt called it “the pulse of America.”  Mark Twain called it a “novelty; for she is never the Chicago you saw when you passed through her the last time.” This pulse, this inspiration, has left its mark on each of the four artists whose works will be exhibited by Long-Sharp Gallery (Indianapolis/New York) at SOFA Chicago 2017. SOFA Chicago takes place at Navy Pier and runs from November 2-5.  Long-Sharp Gallery is located in Booth 723.

Five Star Institute CEO Urges Confirmation of Brian Montgomery as FHA Commissioner

Today, Five Star Institute President & CEO Ed Delgado released an op-ed article supporting the nomination of Brian Montgomery to the position of Federal Housing Administration (FHA) Commissioner and arguing for his swift confirmation. If confirmed by the Senate, Montgomery will rejoin the public sector from The Collingwood Group, a financial services advisory firm which he co-founded in 2009.

“Dale Enochs: On the Rocks” Kicks off Long-Sharp Gallery’s Fall 2017 Season

Opening September 8, 2017 at Long-Sharp Gallery Indianapolis, “Dale Enochs: On The Rocks” celebrates Bloomington, IN based limestone sculptor Dale Enochs’ decades of sculpting as well as his recent important public sculptures and museum acquisitions. The exhibit runs through September 30.

Two New York Galleries Exhibit New Paintings by Sabina Klein

Two galleries in New York’s Gallery Building will host the first solo exhibit in nearly a decade for New Yorker Sabina Klein. Long-Sharp Gallery (suite 606) and John Szoke Gallery (suite 303) present Sabina Klein: On Reflection. The exhibit will open Wednesday, September 6 from 6-8:30 pm and run through October 21, 2017. The Gallery Building is in Midtown at 24 West 57thStreet between 5th and 6th Avenues.

Veteran Awarded Mortgage-free Home at National Fantasy Football Convention

Thanks to JPMorgan Chase and Operation Homefront, Erica Corley, Army veteran and single-mother of two, received the keys to her mortgage-free home in Mesquite, Texas during the National Fantasy Football Convention this past Saturday. The presentation was made in conjunction with the Keys For Life program, an initiative of the Five Star Institute.

NMSA Calls on Federal Agencies to Standardize the Treatment of Vacant Properties

The National Mortgage Servicing Association (NMSA) has issued a report calling on all federal agencies to work together in conjunction with the mortgage servicing community to institute policies that standardize the procedures, definitions, and best practices surrounding the treatment of vacant and abandoned residential properties.  The report was in part developed with input from several NMSA member organizations including Wells Fargo, Bank of America, BankUnited, Selene Finance, and others.
