The global business intelligence firm Worldbox has announced it has taken over Switzerland’s Orell Füssli Wirtschaftsinformationen AG (OFWI)’s international and domestic research activities, from Monday.

The tie-up sees Worldbox (http://worldbox.net) – which operates from offices in London, Zurich, Rotterdam, Hong Kong, and India – taking over all of OFWI’s corporate and private client orders for credit check reports, business investigations, and due diligence operations.

Zurich-based OFWI, a long-standing provider of Swiss national business information, will continue its online services and concentrate on developing them in the Swiss marketplace, while Worldbox is providing all offline research services.

Worldbox CEO, Adrian Ashurst, commented: “Our first priorities are to ensure OFWI customers will continue to receive the services they are used to and additionally bring them increased business intelligence services, allowing them to make informed choices and conform with regulatory requirements, wherever they are doing business in the world”.

Markus Binzegger, OFWI CEO, stated: “Worldbox has an excellent reputation as quality providers of Swiss and International Business Information and research services worldwide, and we are confident they will provide our clients with an efficient and excellent service”.

Worldbox Business Intelligence is an intelligence-gathering service based in Zurich, founded in 1996. Since its new online company search service went live late last year, it is, as of February, receiving upwards of 100,000 company searches per month.

OFWI (http://www.ofwi.ch) has been owned by Axon Active Holding AG in Lucerne since 2008. Its original parent company, Institut Orell Füssli AG, was set up in 1890.

Worldbox provides easy access to detailed data on a range of essential areas, including: validation and verification of company registrations and accounts, corporate and financial records and credit risk reports.
